Me: unfortunately 2backlogs… even with low acads I have only 2 backlogs sir… it means I m not poor student but the prblm is I was not concentrating at dat sem..

Me: The course offered by the University is so unique that it suits well with my area of interest. I contacted some of the current students there to know more about the university and got a very positive reply from them. I also contacted Prof Dr. F.Frank Chen, he gave me … interrupted
Vo : everything is fine with u… u r excellent with ur presentation, confidence, impressive but ur acads….mmm
Me: sir, I scored very well in my 10th and intermediate with 90%.. I was so proud wid my marks.. wen entered my undergraduation I was so confident dat I would get similar grades and felt I need some participation in extra-cirricular activities.. I was a leading singer in my college and organized many fests in my college. I was the cultural head of my college for almost two years and represented my college in many inter college events. And by d time I realized dat i m getting low acads it was not in my hands. But one thing I could do is to prove my practical knowledge and der I didn't leave any stone unturned. I scored 74% in my final year and I was leading my project team which was selected as best project in my dptmt dat yr (:P). I can assure you sir, this ll not repeat in my masters if given a chance, I am so focused towards my goal..

me: told so much abt my proj.. also told dat some prof of my univ are still continuing research on my proj and it is used as case study for my juniors...

Vo: uffff!!!( he took a breath instead of me.. I thought he was impressed wid my funds)
He was typing something.. so I thought I shudnt be silent…
Me: sir, I also have immovable properties worth xxcrores. Again I started saying my father's annual income all d above points..( that's the strongest point in my profile so I highlighted more and more... i literally told my father's income, shares and bank balance almost 3times)
Vo: mam, ur visa is approved u ll receive ur passport in a week.
Me: omg thanku so much sir… I m extremely happy..
Vo: really!!

This is how my visa interview ended up with visa officer thanking me :P
i loved my interview, it was so fun... i was so loud and clear dats wat i felt... i was not smiling.. it was sumthng more dan smiling and less dan laughing.. eye contact was perfect... suggestions wat can i give i really have bad scores but i cud do it... everu1 can get it... each of u have ur own style of convincing jus identify it and work on dat... dats it...!!! gud luck frnds..

Delhi consulate, Date july 6.
Went in the morning, 9 am slot, I reached at 8. My turn came around 9.30.
The consulate in front of me was rejecting everyone's visa, I kept praying I dont get that one! And next instant I am standing in front of him. I give him a big wide smile, he smiles back (for the first time).
Me: Good morning Sir (with 32 watt smile)
VO: Morning. (keeps typing)
*checks the form*
VO: *with a weird expression* Why this university
Me: * smile again* Sir, the reseach progs at the dept, match with my interests i.e VLSI, examplified with Dr. xxxx's name - course content research oriented, updated curriculum, library has over 1 million books
VO: *smiles*
which other univs did u apply to?
Me: USC, Iowa state, North Carolina State.
VO: which other admits did u get?
Me: Sir, CSU Fresno was my first admit and I did not persue other univs as the course content was very strong. (the ans as told to me by my counselor)
VO: Okay. *types again*
Did you get admit from USC?
Me: No sir.
VO: You are a very good student. *slides my passport* But Im sorry I can not issue you the visa.
Me: Sir, why?
VO: BECAUSE I DONT THINK YOU'LL BE ABLE TO COMPLETE YOU EDUCATION THERE!!
I scored 1300, cleared my subjects, have a decent academics, he didnt ask about my sponsor, he didnt ask ANYTHING, how the hell can he judge(on what basis could he say) if i'll be able to complete my edu or not. lol, he's not the one to decided THIS! The admit in itself is a proof that I CAN!!! More over, he didnt check my documents, nothing!!
I will applying again, what should I now???

actually i need to go to counter no.27, while i was going to counter 27, the visa officer in counter26 asked me; ur token number 277? i said mine was 280. then she said , ok pass me ur docs and then she was typing for a while..... but i am in a confusion and searching the counter no. whether i was in counter 27 or other...
she suddenly turned to me and gave a BIG smile.. i didn't understand...why she is smiling...
then she started asking questions;
VO: why this university?
I : told about course structure and said that this course helps me to improve my skills, and then told university ranking...
VO: why u have choosen USA?
I : education in US is very flexible which helps me to choose my field of interest from a lot of subjects and all the courses are industrially slant ....and also the cultural diversity in US helps me to develop emotionally..so i have chosen US.
VO: yeah., thats right... and what will u do with ur telecommunications degree?
I : search for a telecommunication job in BSNL or reliance back in India.
VO: ok.. u search for telecom job?
I : yes mam.(she started typing for a while)
VO: how will u support ur education?
I: my father is my sponsor and i also have a bank loan sanctioned for 10 lak rupees..
VO: pass me loan letter
I : passed.,

I : ours is percentage system mam and i have 77.4%
